SDSU Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

Son accepted, ME, pretty low gpa and tests so PLTW must be a guarantee or real close to one.

@doglover45 our friend’s mom works in admissions and she said notices will be rolling out until the end of the month.

I spoke with someone in admissions yesterday. We moved from the east coast to SD in Nov . My son transferred schools after he applied and we wanted to make sure the new information was received, they were advise of our new residency , that some of his classes changed for the second semester and other class names were adjusted to match what was offered and the new graduation requirements. We wanted to make sure there wasn’t any issues as he’s still pending.

Anyway, they emailed back saying…
The changes were noted in his record and the evaluation team was able to clear any confusion surrounding the courses from the application. As of right now there are no discernible discrepancies and you are on track for review.
We will be releasing admissions decisions over the next two weeks so you will hear a decision no later than March 30th.

Looks like his application wasn’t reviewed yet.

I can only hope they are still reviewing applications given some have been declined yet my daughters is pending. I have also seen others accepted into nursing with a lower eligibility index then my daughters so I have to remain hopeful.

I cannot imagine how they could not have everyone’s decision already. If they truly are still reviewing applications in groups, what happens if the last group they look at has a ton of overqualified applicants but they already reached close to the amount of students they can accept per major?? I’m assuming and hoping that they are not doing that because they should be comparing people to the entire applicant pool for each major, not just the “group” that they’d be looking at.

@Heyiwantcollege I got the email on March 19 at 4:10pm and when I logged into the portal, the status was already changed to “Admitted”.

PLTW? @Red12Girl

Does anyone know how many freshmen applicants they will accept in the nursing program

@Jamzmom Based on what I’ve read on here it’s around 300-400 people

thank you @Banker1

How many history majors are accepted each year?

@gabwedooby according to admissions, for history, only 109 out of 422 first-year undergrad applicants were admitted last year. Only 25 enrolled though.

For anyone wanting to see how competitive their major was last year: here’s the link to the spreadsheet on the sdsu admissions website:

Any Pre-Liberal Studies for Elementary Education been admitted or denied?

UCI still hasn’t released regular decisions so I’m also thinking once they do we will see movement here and at other colleges as students start to commit. My D is also still waiting on UCI, CSUF and CSUN.

@misslexii That is my major as well and I am still pending.
