SDSU Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

Are acceptances rolling out just this week or is it over the course of two weeks?

@Cat420 I’m appealing as a transfer student.

Got in for nursing!

CSU GPA: 4.08
SAT: 1390

@lisa2018 when did your portal change?

has anyone heard yet today?

Just got admitted as a transfer!

@gabwedooby Thanks for posting. Although this school was a big reach for my daughter, she is still pending. I would imagine its getting down to the nitty gritty there but will not speculate on the process.

Got accepted in December into to the College of Arts and Letters! 3.6 GPA, 1200 SAT, humanities major, out of state

is the email updated first or does the portal become updated first?

Portal was updated for us at about 9:15am Monday and email came out at 4pm that same day.

Do people think all acceptances have gone out

I have to think most acceptances have gone out even though they say it will continue to go out. On the first day about 30 people on this site said they got acceptances and since then it has trickled down to almost zero. I think it’s going to be like CalPoly SLO–we’re going to waitlist and then rejections soon.

There’s ZERO chance that the majority have gone out. Just look at the numbers that have been posted here. I’m a glass half empty type and that’s my opinion. I just think SDSU is in way over their skis this year and have a mess on their hands.

do you guys know if there is a sdsu group chat for students on group me or facebook?? if so do yall have a link?

I think most of the Cal State schools are way over their head with the new applications. I know for instance CPP has barely released acceptances either and they state they are hoping for 3/31 but it may be mid april. I am sure there are more too.

It’s a lot different than SLO already though since there are a lot fewer acceptances and already some freshman denials. I don’t even think they have an order anymore. It all seems pretty scattered and fragmented. But I could be wrong.

I still can’t wrap my head around UC and CS both have common apps and don’t have a common central clearing house. None of these schools are talking to each other and everybody repeating the same process. Inefficient beauracracy at it’s best.

Oldest brother just got admitted as transfer student! All three of us will be SDSU in the fall!! Good luck everyone!

I have vented about this delay a few times. SDSU took in over $5 million in application fees. This should have gone towards hiring and IT. Those who have been stuck waiting have likely been accepted elsewhere, and this will have an effect on the SDSU yield. This will hurt them in their quest to be a “top 50” research university.
