@lhmoney75: UC’s take into account EC’s and essays which many times tells a better story about an applicant vs, just looking at an applicant’s stats like SDSU. Congratulations on your daughters acceptance at UCSD.

@Cat420: I would appeal if waitlisted or rejected. You have nothing to loose but you will need to SIR to another school since most appeals will not be decided until June or July.

Just spoke with someone at Admissions. It was like pulling teeth to get any info about what’s still to come in the way of decisions. All she could tell me is that all decisions should be out by the end of next week. Also, we should not assume anything until you see your actual decision. The decisions coming out in waves are sometimes organized by geographical location and sometimes by stats. Not sure if this is helpful, but it does sound like there are still some acceptances to come.
Now what if you’re waitlisted? Accept the waitlist and sign on for another school? What happens then if you were to ever get accepted off of the waitlist?
