@Smith0701 you put a down payment on another school I believe, and if you are admitted off the waitlist and you decide to go, you lose the payment u made on the other school

Actually it said denied and gave an option to add yourself to the waitlist.

Correct that you SIR and enroll at another school and you will loose that deposit if you do to accept SDSU’s acceptance offer from the waitlist.

Has anyone been denied without the waitlist option? Does everyone get that option?
my worst grades were from my first semester senior year when my dad was diagnosed with cancer sorry to get personal but does anyone think would they actually consider my appeal
What are reasons for appealing? Daughter’s grades have improved every year. 10th wasn’t the best for her due to difficulties at home. That is actually what she wrote her UC essays about–my husband severe PTSD and mental health issues from serving in Iraq (even so far as admitting himself to a pysch unit this past spring following a breakdown). Would that be taken into account to see her progression in overcoming and dealing with life stresses. She has 4 AP classes this year and was only 0.1 point from 4.0. Over 250 hrs hospital volunteering, student of the quarter, 3 week service trip to China, 4 years tennis plus school clubs. Her EI was already 4236 before being denied.

Also waitlisted UCSC for PSYCH. Denied for PSYCH at UCSD, UC Davis, Cal Poly SLO and CSULB. Accepted PSYCH at Chico, Humboldt and University of Portland. Accepted undeclared at Boise and Linfield. Counselor advised me to cast the net wide. Not very excited about schools where accepted.

@rocknix: Since CSU’s do not consider Senior grades in your admission decision, they are not the reason you were denied/waitlisted however if you are local and need to stay close to home due to your father’s illness, then this might be the basis for your appeal.
@xpeachpie my daughter was admitted for psych on Monday. 4.04 CSU gpa and 1220 sat, estimated EI of 4456 if we calculated correctly

@Gumbymom Thanks for the congrats! I’m a happy mom don’t get me wrong. I just find it weird because her stats were really good, too! Doesn’t matter in the end…she got in to a few GREAT schools. I’m super proud of her. It just strikes me as odd. No biggie! Congrats to EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU for wherever you’ve gotten in!
