anyone know what the chances are of getting off the waitlist?
Has anyone been accepted or declined for Civil Engineering? S is still waiting. Twin sister was accepted back in Dec. This is torture
I have a 4.3 CSU/UC GPA and a 1400 SAT score and I was denied admission.

@jennieloren: Getting off the waitlist is dependent upon how many applicants accept by May 1 for each major.
Waitlist info from last year:
of applicants offered place on waitlist: 3279
of applicants accepting place on waitlist: 1630
of applicants admitted off waitlist: 9
For 2016: 565 applicants admitted off waitlist.
i wonder if they are still sending out acceptances or if they are done
I just called admissions, they are fluctuating between sending admissions, waitlists, and denials. Some admissions are still waiting to be sent out !
@jeffrandall D’s uncle is a Linfield alum. LOVED his experience there. Went for campus visit in Feb. Really liked all of the things you mentioned, however, undergrad is just 1600 which feels really small coming from a HS with 2700.
Daughter waitlisted for biology (she did not accept spot on waitlist, has other options she prefers)

@SBMamaBear I wonder if they release by high school for locals. No one had heard from my son’s high school, not even those that should have been up for honors, until last week and then ALL of them heard at the same time. It’s a charter school so they are from all over the county but perhaps they just released San Diego all in the same day.

Pretty low sat score, so I wasn’t too surprised. I did not enlist on the waitlist bc I have other great options! Best of luck to all of you!!
@turtletime I don’t think so. Some kids from my D’s high school heard several months and many still have not heard. My D applied for Honors and heard from them in mid-Feb that her RD application had not been reviewed yet and they would hold her Honors app until RD had been made and would get back to her in April.

Gumbymom, where did you get the waitlist stats from last year? I found 2016 but couldn’t find 2017 anywhere.
what is you next top choice? I am still pending but my stats aren’t much higher than yours so assuming I’m denied, I am also considering Point Loma and CSUSM
