@pizza468 @BarbaraCruz something to consider if you are admitted for Nursing - many students prefer the Nursing living community to stay with other nursing students. During my nursing sophomore D’s first year this was at Cuic Suites. She wishes she had considered doing that over staying at Zura as part of WHC her freshman year.
My daughter applied to Psych major, her stats are as follows:
CSU GPA 3.8
SAT 1110
I have EI of 4150 which is below average EI from what I can see. I know her SAT is hurting her. She is not a good tester, very detailed and methodical and never finishes. She has been accepted to Sac State and Sonoma State, but she has taken four years of Japanese and can continue that at San Diego. She also takes challenging classes, I hope they look at the rigour of classes also. Waiting is tough. She’s pretty sure she won’t get in.
@hamey111: The CSU’s look at CSU GPA, test scores, HS course rigor, Geographic location and State residency. Applicants are ranked based on their EI and major.
Psychology happens to be one of the most popular and competitive majors due to the # of applicants.
Last year SDSU had 4205 applicants for Psychology with 1475 admitted giving an acceptance rate of 35%.
She has 2 good options so far so all she can do is hope for the best.

764 applicants and admitted 268 for a 35% acceptance rate last year.
Did anyone else receive an email with their SDSUid and activation code but no decision in the portal? When I log in it says pending. Does this indicate a decision or do all applicants get this?Thanks!
@iviner That just means that they haven’t gotten to your profile yet, just be patient and eventually it’ll be updated to if you are admitted or rejected. Everyone gets that early on.

Does anyone know how many new hire orientation dates they will offer in July for the business major and if they all fill up fast? We live in northern California and are trying to plan our summer. I couldn’t find anything online.

@BEEFCAKE Buildout is expected by 2037 per Union Tribune so it will be many years before students will be able to feel the enrollment increases on campus.
Daughter was notified that she was waitlisted for WHC. And, unfortunately the WHC Office says very few students are admitted from the waitlist 
Maybe they shouldn’t have invited so many to apply to WHC.

Not a good marketing plan on their part IMO. D was pretty excited about early notification but super bummed about not getting into WHC. Will definitely affect her decision to go there.
@kikiob yes, completely agree! Daughter was also admitted early and was surprised she did not get in to WHC after all the hype. She is definitely not as excited about SDSU at this point.
What’s the acceptance rate for WHC? I am surprised so many high stats early admits were turned down.
