SDSU Class of 2024 Application Thread

@kukui77 Oct 14 was the date S20 applied to SDSU. So I think it is just showing the latest date when an action was taken in regards to his application. Those who have January or February dates may have had something occur with their application on those days (e.g. Admisssions review, WHC review, etc)

@kukui77 Mine says admission status: pending, and admission date: November 19th 2019. I think that was the day that I turned in my application.

Looks like the bulk of acceptances started on 3/8 last year. Hopefully it will be the same or sooner this year.

@CollegeCguy i submitted mine Nov. 14 and my Admission status date is January 18th I think. In wonder what it means.

It’s interesting that so many incoming freshman are still waiting to hear back from SDSU, yet the housing application for incoming freshman opens on March 2nd…hmmm!

@kukui77: SDSU’s housing is not on a first-come basis. Housing applications are not reviewed until after the May 1 SIR date, so no advantage of signing up early. You do not get to choose which dorm buildings, only room types such as double/triple and a Living Learning community if interested.

Hopefully everyone will be hearing soon and best of luck.

Hi everyone, I am a compact for success student and have met all the A-G requirements and my eligibility index is over the required (for Compact), I am in the second semester of my senior year, but things haven’t been so good lately and certainly not last semester which caused my grades to be at their lowest point since it brought my CSU GPA down to a 3.31 (which is still accepted for Compact for Sucess since you need at least a CSU 3.0), I’ve already been accepted to three other CSUs but haven’t heard back from SDSU, which is my dream school and I’m haunted by my admissions status on my portal saying it’s still pending when it’s already March. I am worried that this will jeopardize my admission ): sorry for the lengthy paragraph

S got accepted into SDSU this morning. So excited!

@xiaobaomama2020 congratulations to you S!!! Can you please share his EI, GPA, and test scores? Thank you! Also, are you in-state CA or out-of-state?

Son accepted! Business. 3.85 weighted and 33 ACT

Son admitted on portal today about 10AM PT. EI of 4520, Business major, in state, not local. Congrats to those admitted and stay hopeful to those waiting. Remember, there are many good schools for every student and Comm College to CSU/UC route is inexpensive and path of least resistance. Good things will happen to those who stay positive. Persistence is the key.

Best of luck to everyone in all of your endeavors at any school you choose!

@MA2024, you asked about financial aid decisions.
Since you appear to be OOS, you don’t qualify for California state funding. SDSU is a California State University, funded by the state’s taxpayers. The state does not have funding for non-residents. So expect to pay full nonresident fees of $42k annually.

If you filled out the FAFSA application you may qualify for federal funding, which includes PELL, loans and work study, but these won’t begin to cover your $42k yearly costs.
