SDSU Class of 2024 Application Thread

I want to add I KNOW SDSU was a long shot. We are going to So Cal in a week or so …I am hoping to know before we leave on the 16th. Dont want to go to SD if I didn’t get in.

I haven’t heard yet :frowning: applied for marketing in state. wondering if that means bad news…

Waitlisted today:/
GPA: 4.2
SAT: 1250
Major: Math

Haven’t heard either
GPA: 4.06, 15 Honors and AP
ACT 20
Accepted CSULB Denied SLO

@Banker1 Thank you! Yes, she has other options for nursing. Seattle University looks to be her next best option. She’s also waiting on UC Irvine.

I’m super nervous because everyone else at my small charter school has gotten in( granted like 4 people applied: 2 early admits and my best friend got in for kinesiology) My portal says pending and the date is the day after I applied (October 19th). I’ve heard back from a bunch of other schools and was waitlisted to long beach. I applied pre business administration general and it looks like a bunch of business majors heard back. I’m nervous because I had to call to get my confirmation email, so I’m wondering if there was a problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

Does anyone know how CSUs make decisions given they only have grades and test scores?

DD got into SDSU last Dec., into their Honors program last month, into CSULB last month, and in at Cal Poly SLO this past Tues. Just waiting on UC decisions before she makes a final choice, but right now SDSU and Cal Poly SLO are leading the pack (over OOS and privates). But again, how do they even decide with so little info???

Stats:
Psychology
W-GPA: 4.15; UW-GPA 3.84
SAT 1370
Female, in state

@LHN2024:

CSULB and SDSU admit based on Eligibility index (CSU GPA and test scores) and major. They also consider HS course rigor, Geographic residence (local vs. non-local) and state residency.

SLO admits by major and MCA score (similar to the EI but give extra points for EC’s, leadership and major related jobs along with HS course rigor over the minimum a-g course requirements).

Deciding on where to attend should be based on academics such as course curriculum and availability of classes, finances and social aspects.

The best way to make a decision is to visit all the campuses of interest and see where she feels the most at home.

has anyone received an acceptance to foods and nutrition major?

funny - we are in the exact same situation…except my son was accepted at SDSU and silence at Cal Poly. AND he was waitlisted at Long Beach as well. His #1 is Cal Poly witht SDSU being a close second but starting to feel that the no answer is most likely going to be a “no”.

It’s OK though, our daughter is a sophomore at SDSU and she loves it there and we all would love the kids to be togheter in college for a few years  Good luck to your daughter!

@cys220 Same here. S got accepted at SDSU, and no decision at Cal Poly (likely to be rejected at this point). S prefers SDSU, so we are really happy now -

Will SDSU release decisions by this Friday? Because I did not hear back yet

Im getting worried that since I have heard back yet, it means a rejection… :frowning: does anybody know anything about when they’re sending them?

does anybody know if sdsu already sent out all their acceptances and waitlists?

Just checked my email and I was accepted, received 3/3
Gpa 4.2
sat: 1280

soccersoccer12 - many kids at my S’s school received Waitlists last FR. We’re In-state- Norcal.

anybody know when more SDSU acceptances will come out?

My sister is still pending for SDSU & Cal Poly SLO since October 31, 2019- the wait is so nerve wrecking!

Denied today, no waitlist option. Not super surprised as it was a reach school.

I’ve seen on this thread some people heard back from CSU Long Beach, does anyone know if they release all decisions at once or over time like SDSU? I keep checking through the self-service email but it still says they are reviewing my application.
