SDSU Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

@SDSUHopefulClassof2025: Only a few Cal states consider alternate majors and SDSU is not one of these CSU’s. Cal Poly Pomona, San Jose state and rarely Cal Poly SLO will consider alternate majors. In general, all Cal states admit by major so usually an alternate major needs to be a non-impacted major as in CPP’s case.

Cal Poly SLO rarely admits to an alternate major but usually in the case where the 1st choice major is in the College of Engineering and alternate major is in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science.

SJSU admits applicants to their alternate major only if there is additional capacity beyond those admitted as a primary major. This means that you might meet the threshold for your alternate major, but because there is no additional enrollment capacity to admit applicants to alternate majors, your application was withdrawn as unaccommodated.
