<p>That’s odd, because for the first time in recent years I saw photos of 2011 plebes actually wearing headbands! I guess journalists were banned from the events this year too!</p>
<p>Seriously, Sea Trials has always been extremely challenging for the participants–14 hours of grueling physical events.</p>
<p>I know one company in 2010 tied bandanas around their heads/necks… pink if I recall!!!</p>
<p>“Spirit” stuff, ie shirts, dyed hair, colorful headbands, etc. wasn’t allowed. They made it very clear that none of that would be tolerated this year, it was a ‘serious’ evolution. With that being said I do know someone who shaved '11 into his chest, but that could only be seen during pool pt and at herndon.</p>
<p>Finally. Sea trials took a turn for the worse when parents were allowed to attend and view sea trials. I know parents want to be there and see their kids but Sea trial became a joke.</p>
