Hey guys I applied to the SEAP program (all three of my labs are in Maryland). I’m just wondering if anyone has heard back from their labs yet? Thanks!
Heard back today. Kid GOT IN!
My son heard today, accepted
My kid got into a DC SEAP lab. It’s been a lot of disappointment for the kid last two years–so glad it’s been good news today.
What labs did you apply for?
Congrats!
What labs did he apply for?
I also applied to mostly Maryland labs and am still waiting to hear back, so I think they are probably still reviewing.
congrats to everyone who got accepted!! has anyone heard back from NSMRL, NMRC, or AFRRI? thanks!
Naval Academy
Still nothing, when is the end of the reward period?
I still haven’t heard anything yet either. Their website said January-March so I am assuming it means through march?
Still nothing?
Still nothing for me. What about you?
For those got in, congrats! Can anyone share your stats? Are you a rising junior or senior? Thanks
My kid is a senior now. I believe he stood out for a lot of online Python classes and then a python class at the local CC. Some projects in data science along the way. Researcher felt that the python would be relevant to project area in another computer language.
He was taking AP stats, AP CS this year.
Rising Junior - 4.0 GPA; 1400 PSAT 10 (750 M/650 RW); 4 on AP Stats (grade 9); taking AP Calc BC and AP Physics (10th grade); started his robotic club at his high school, was the only MS on his old school’s robotics team. Swims varsity (gr 9 and 10). Wrote his essays mainly about his passions for strategic games (tabletop and cards) and his internal motivation to take the hardest STEM available to him. Also, did COSMOS as a rising 9th grader.
Hi! my son is thinking about applying to SEAP this year. It looks like the application has multiple 5000 word essays. Wondering if that is a type and it was meant to be 5000 characters? any advise on the essays -thank you.
