what is wesleyan’s search policy?

what is that?

it’s the policy the school has regarding searching students’ dorms and personal effects. lik some schools will randomly search dorms every month or so, whereas others feel that the students have a right to privacy and won’t search a student’s dorm unless there is a reasonable reason to believe that something that would harm other students is going on (basically what im asking is, if i have a couple beers in my dorm that aren’t supposed to be there and don’t do anything stupid, will i get in trouble)

Oh I see. I don’t really know. JohnWesley is like the pro concerning Wesleyan, ask him. God luck

Wesleyan does not search student dorms just for the hell of it. However, if there is a fire drill I believe they have the right to go into rooms to check for fire safety violations. They also do this during breaks. If when they do that they find drugs/alcohol that is illegal, you can get in trouble.

I just learned Wesleyan is very leftish so heck no one dares search dorms! THERE would be a boycott of attending classes for a month lol

Fire safety searches your dorm once a year (unless there is good reason for multiple searches). They are not allowed to/will not go through any of your belongings, closet, drawers, etc, without good reason/probable cause. Basically they are only allowed a visual scan of the room. The worst part about it is that you’ll most likely be asleep when they bang on your door.
