Currently looking at University of Virginia, University of Texas, and University of Georgia

You seem to like big state universities. Have you considered the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill? It has a good academic reputation, and people really seem to like it there. It’s known for being a friendly place.

Zap, I don’t know your financial situation but your scores and grades could put you in very good merit aid position if you aren’t worried about ultra-elite schools for undergrad and would like to have no debt.

You might want to looks at some of the LACs with strong pre-med depts. LACs do a great job on the ‘friendliness/access’ catagories in your OP. Grinnell is one with very good merit aid. Ursinus is also very good premed.

You could search curmudgeon’s posts; his D is getting a full ride at Rhodes; turned down Yale and Amherst because she plans on med school later.
