Searching for Holocaust survivor A7734

I’m usually quite suspicious of posts like this…but this one seems to be legitimate.

A friend’s facebook page has a photo of a little boy, named Jolli Gottesmann who had the #A7734 tattooed on him. He survived a concentration camp and is believed to have been adopted by an American family. Thus, he would now have a different name. He was born in 1940.

Someone who says he is this boy’s twin brother is trying to find him. (You can find the posts if you google. )

Oh, just found a news story. More info here:

Interesting. I hope they can reunite.

Hi jonri, is there anyway to contact your friend to find Jeno/ Jolli Gottesmann?

Angelface, I’m sorry if I was unclear. A friend of mine just reposted a message about this search from another facebook page, in much the same way as I’ve posted a message here on CC. I only learned of the search from her page. ( She’s not the genealogist mentioned in the article.) When I first posted a message, I didn’t know the kind of publicity this search has gotten.

If you have info about Mr. Gottesmann, you can post to the original facebook page. [A7734 | Facebook](Redirecting...)
