<p>I have a daughter who wants to study theatre and dance. She’s also interested in play writing. What are 2-3 good sources to find appropriate schools?</p>
<p>You can get good suggestions here if you post her stats (grades, SAT, preferences). If not, you can buy a Princeton Review book at your local bookstore. I kind of had problems looking up schools online because you don’t really know if their department is strong. Looking at random schools takes way too long and everyone’s website says roughly the same things. I would start here on CC.</p>

<p>You may want to check out SUNY Purchase–EXCELLENT theater and dance programs, and I believe it may also have a major in playwriting or screenwriting. It’s tough to gain admission and even tougher to make it through to graduation, but the kids there have tremendous opportunities and gain a lot of contacts in the NYC theater district.</p>
