Searching for very versatile programs

Hello, everyone. I am looking for information on colleges and universities that have programs which allow undergraduate students a LOT of leeway in deciding upon their program of study. An example of the kind of thing I am looking for is Cornell’s College Scholar Program:

[College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University](http://www.arts.cornell.edu/programs/collschl.php)

<<<the college=“” scholar=“” program=“” exists=“” because=“” the=“” faculty=“” is=“” convinced=“” that=“” some=“” students=“” do=“” not=“” need=“” usual=“” requirements=“” for=“” degree=“” as=“” guidelines=“” in=“” selecting=“” courses,=“” and=“” they=“” will=“” benefit=“” from=“” feel=“” more=“” satisfied=“” with=“” their=“” experiences=“” at=“” cornell=“” if=“” are=“” entirely=“” responsible=“” own=“” curricula.=“”>>></the>

<<<the program=“” frees=“” up=“” to=“” forty=“” students=“” in=“” each=“” class=“” from=“” all=“” degree=“” requirements=“” except=“” 120=“” credits=“” (100=“” arts=“” and=“” sciences),=“” 34=“” courses,=“” two=“” semesters=“” of=“” p.e.=“” this=“” includes=“” freedom=“” distribution=“” major=“” requirements.=“” its=“” only=“” requirement=“” is=“” the=“” satisfactory=“” completion=“” a=“” senior=“” project.=“”>>> </the>

That’s the kind of freedom I’m interested in finding in my college search, and I’d like to have as great a many options to research as possible. So my request to you all is: in what other colleges and universities is this kind of freedom available? It doesn’t have to be Ivy League, and it could even be in Canada, but it does have to be undergrad.

Thanks, everybody, for your time.

Look at Brown - they have a create-your-own major type of thing, and no distribution requirements. There is a thread here with lots of good info. on this topic: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/716622-difference-between-no-distribution-requirements-open-curriculum.html</a></p>

Schools to AVOID if you don’t like heavy distribution requirements:

Northwestern University
University of Chicago
Columbia University
