Seasonal decorations

Just realized that I still have jars of candy canes in my foyer! I know that I need to find something more seasonal, but am stuck. Is it too early to get out the spring/Easter stuff? I’m not really into St Patrick’s day.

I’m hosting my card group next week and would like to have something done. I’m not “crafty” and am not willing to spend a lot of time or money on this. I do have some hurricane jars that I like to fill and love candles and flowers.

Any ideas?

For early spring you can have forced ■■■■■ willows and forsythia branches. Pots of blooming crocus bulbs, etc. as well.

IMO green is also a nice early spring color independent of St. Patrick’s Day.

I’ve been doing sparkly, wintery accessories post-Christmas. Pretty, inexpensive things that I purchased at Pier 1. Had never been there before this holiday season (was looking for something specific and was sent there) and have been back a couple of times since to pick up some pretties.

I leave some “Christmas” decorations out that are winter rather than Christmas…pine cones, Cardinal, snow man stuff.

I typically rotate to spring the first weekend of March.

I think it’s too early for Easter decorations since that’s still over a month from now. We have winter decorations this time of year usually with a snow theme. Of course, if you live in the south, you could possibly get out the spring stuff now. The stores are now selling bulbs such as tulips and crocus.

Stay with particular colors/flowers for the season. Winter white, dark reds, blues. dark blue/with yellow for a table.
My friend for years as a wedding shower gift would give a box of decorations that included every holiday of the year. She collected them all year. It was really fun!

Where we live, it’s definitely Spring-Time, bodering on Easter.

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at some spring bulbs today but will wait until later in the week to buy. I don’t know if any winter stuff is still in the stores; but next year I will be looking for some wintery “non Christmas” items like the sparkly “snow” and pine cones to put out at this time of year.
