My two daughters will be together in Seattle for their birthday for the first time since they graduated. One daughter lives in Seattle (Capital Hill area) and the other is flying in from Texas. I would like to surprise them and would like to send them a cake or some other birthday dessert. Anyone in Seattle with some good recommendations? Any local bakeries or online sites that would deliver? Thanks for the help!
Any way you could sneak out to Seattle and surprise the birthday D by showing up at their door to deliver a cake yourself?
I really like that idea but I don’t want to interfere with any of their plans. They don’t get to spend much time together. They’re twins and have a close relationship but they live over 2,000 miles apart.
Sugar Bakery is where we get some cookies for our office celebrations. Grubhub or another delivery service can probably deliver from bakeries that don’t have own delivery?
Maybe send them a gift certificate to a cool eatery instead?
Gift certificate to any of Tom Douglas’ restaurants

Second Dahlia. I bet Grubhub can deliver from them.
This is my personal favorite:
Again, you will have to figure out how to deliver from there.
I love Macrina Bakery… and Grand Central bakery in Pioneer Square
Bakery Nouveau - there’s one on Capitol Hill on E John.
Sugar Bakery is good, too.
I second Bakery Nouveau.
I second Larsen’s. Get a Kringle. Best donuts are from Mighty O! If I need a birthday cake, I usually get it from Whole Foods. A great gelato place that has gelato cakes is Gelatiamo.
Macrina is great but more for bread, savory stuff.
Thanks for all the recommendation! I will check them out this weekend.
I would go with Whole Foods or Bakery Nouveau. Whole Foods is delivery is available by Instacart and Bakery Nouveau delivery is available by Postmates.
