Seattle Central Community College VS. Cypress College for a CC Photography degree

Hello I am looking for a Community College top photography Degree and I am from seattle and know Seattle Central has an amazing commercial photography program and I am just trying to find out of anyone knows how they compare to each other or any other good Commercial Photography programs that arent 10000000 dollars like brooks and art center. Thanks

You have several threads going. Have you also tried posting your questions over on the community college forum? Perhaps someone there is familiar with these schools and their programs. There are many schools that offer excellent photography programs. Some schools combined their photography’s program with their other visual arts programs such as in Cinematography, Advertising, Journalism, etc. so you may need to look under cinematography as I mentioned on the Chapman’s forum. If you are just looking for a photography degree, you may want to take a look at the list of the stateuniversity.com site for the most popular schools for each program. I believe Cypress College is listed there under photography, but I didn’t see Seattle Central. Hope this helps.

I took a two hour tour of SCCC for my school’s photo club trip, and their photography program does seem really good. They have an abundance of top quality equipment, and their professors actually seem difficult, especially for a CC. Part of your tuition goes towards buying a nice camera such as a Canon 5D Mark II and other equipment. I was actually pretty impressed by their program and I’m not interested in going to a CC even.
