Seattle coffee snobs and foodies

That’s not a bad list Lindy.
I love an excuse to go to Vashon.

The OP was going to be in Seattle through yesterday. So much coffee, so little time.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions! I was in Seattle with a bunch of family so it turned out that I didn’t have any say over restaurants, but I did get to visit a couple of cafes that folks here recommended, including Victrola and Vivaci. They were both excellent suggestions and I really enjoyed them. I’m kinda bummed that I didn’t get the recommendation about the snobbiest coffee shop from @emeraldkity4 in time to go, as that sounds exactly like my kinda place :)) I also had a great latte at Street Bean after checking out the Chihuli museum.

The noteworthy local restaurants we hit were Tallulah’s, which had some really Mediterranean cuisine (and I’m not usually a fan of Mediterranean), and I got a great bbq banh mi sandwich from Skillet Diner in Capitol Hill.

Seattle is a really wonderful city and I’m sorry I didn’t have more time to explore.

Skillet is fun.
I’ve been to the one in Ballard. The space on Capitol
hill was originally ( or at least about 17-18 yrs ago) the gym/activity center for my daughters middle/high school, next to the state liquor store.
Btw- I’ve had Skillets bacon jam @ Costco.
They also had their art classes in what is now the Northwest film forum.
But they built a new building that has lots more light.

EK - I waved at you twice as we went over Phinney Ridge and back today! :-h

We spent the morning at the locks then were searching for my Cuban pork sandwich at Paseo on Fremont. They were closed so we back tracked to Bitterroot for brisket but they were closed too. We wandered a bit and I found Kickin’ Boot Whiskey Kitchen so I got my brisket after all! (and a yummy mojito for the holiday)

Yummmmm, anything at Skillet. I was going to suggest it but didn’t know if it was still “trending”
