Don’t know if anyone else is into orcas (like me!) but SeaWorld is ending their captive breeding program, which essentially means that the current orcas will be the last generation at SW (they no longer capture from the wild).

Was thrilled to see this headline on Squawk this morning.
It’s the right thing to do. However I have to say back when I was a kid I went there and really enjoyed it. IMO it’s like all the Zoo’s. Kids like to see the animals and as parents we take them but when you really think about it it’s not good for most of the animals. Kind of a bummer all the way around.
My younger son and I went on a whale watching tour in Anacortes, WA. We saw numerous orcas, in their habitat, and it was a sight to behold. It actually made me more sickened about the SW orcas.
