Second chances?

Alright, first of all, I’m not taking this too seriously, I just have some free time and am curious about feedback. I took a year off after attending a competitive public school to work as an intern for a missionary organization. I applied once to these schools as a senior, but was waitlisted and then rejected for the most part. I was going to defer enrollment even if I got in, i didn’t just pout because I was rejected. I started working as a waiter a week after graduation and will soon leave to work with orphans for 6 months in a third world country. What do you think my chances are with all of my AP scores coming in and with what I did with my time off.

wait
so you applied a while ago and are now wondering what the chances would be now?

Correction, I’ve been in Peru for 2 months already, I’m a lazy typer so I like to copy and paste… I applied last year as a senior, but have since taken a year off and decided it was worth the tiny chance Stanford will accept me now to rewrite essays and apply again. So yes, I’m wondering what my chances are this year.

anyone have thoughts?

I took a year off (and had less impressive scores than you did) and was just accepted to Dartmouth (likely letter) so I would assume you have a decent chance at Stanford. Good luck!
