Second degree?

Hi guys! I don’t know where else to go regarding this question, so I thought to start here. I have a degree from the Philippines, and now I’ve moved to the US. I’m planning on pursuing a degree in theatre, specifically lighting design.
I was wondering if I’m going to have to take the SAT? Bec in the Philippines we don’t have those. Each college/university has their own entrance exams. I’m not entirely sure how to go about this, so I hope you guys can help me out. Thank you!

Additionally, would I have any options for financial aid and the like?

If your first degree is somewhat related to theatre tech/design (for example, if you an architect, artist, engineer, etc.), there may be some graduate programs that would be willing to admit you. Otherwise, you will apply undergraduate programs as a transfer student. If you are a US citizen or legal permanent resident alien (green card status) you will be able to borrow the standard student loans. You will not be eligible for other types of federal aid because you already have a college degree. It is unlikely that you will be asked for an SAT exam. You will most likely need to take the TOEFL.

Contact the programs that you are interested in, and ask whether they accept transfers like you. Some programs do not accept second degree candidates at all.

Some community college theatre tech/design programs are very good. So do investigate the community colleges near you.
