^ I have adblock so I don’t see any ads.

Mortgage offers. I am intrigued by the “news” box about “28 celebrities with unattractive significant others.”

JUST KIDDING.

They never gave it to him. They split the three doses on hand in Liberia between Brantly and Writebol instead.

I figure that right now Christie is praying that Kaci Hickox–who, by the way, now lives in Fort Kent, ME–comes down with Ebola and Cuomo is praying that the fiancee does.

I also use adblock, so no ads.

I get a shoe mall advert. I just recently bought some shoes online and have noticed I get a lot of shoe ads. Haven’t figures out if I can do addblock on kindle fire.

If she is healthy, Hickox going to walk right out of the isolation in 19 days, and right to the television cameras. She’s white, she’s pretty, and she’ll make mincemeat of the stupid unjustified quarantine.

How about Connecticut?

The CDC has been given a hard time about “dropping the ball” on Ebola, the president was given a hard time about naming an Ebola Czar who has no medical background. Now, look at the three ring circus the NJ government instituted! Why have not they thought about HOW they were going to institute this quarantine prior to ordering it? They had ample time to plan ahead, unlike the Dallas hospital! What a bunch of incompetent idiots.

The quarantined nurse just called her treatment “inhumane”. I agree with her, and my blood is boiling. No showers, no normal toilet access, but good grace, they allowed her to keep her iPhone.

They’re jailing this poor woman for the crime of being a humanitarian. Way to encourage other selfless healthcare workers.

Thanks about the ads info. I clicked on my ss’ company on linked in yesterday and am now seeing ads for their company’s product.

I just bought a pair of pumps, so I see shoes.
I don’t mind that.

Bunsenburner, you may have bigger problems to deal with than ebola.

“Why have not they thought about HOW they were going to institute this quarantine prior to ordering it? They had ample time to plan ahead…”

Because sh** just pops into their heads in response to 24 hour news cycle frenzy (I don’t just mean this Ebola situation either) and no one is given anytime to plan. Everything needs to be done now. You are not allowed to say something is unworkable/counter productive. Also, institutional knowledge is being lost every day as people are retiring as soon as they can (especially management personnel in NY as they have been denied raises and bumps for the last 4 years) and there has been no new hiring. So, on top of lost institutional knowledge there is a huge lack of personnel. There is no planning because no one has the time or personnel for it as all they do is go from one contrived crisis to another.

Maybe this is why these ebola-exposed patients are so active.

“Bunsenburner, you may have bigger problems to deal with than ebola.”

He was interviewed on a local program on my public radio station last week. Was fascinating.

It’s appalling that the nurse is kept in paper scrubs and in a tent without proper facilities. Why can’t she quarantine in her own apartment at the very least? It’s so wrong the way she’s being treated! I agree–hope she sues big time AND WINS–against the politicians personally!

The medical people know perfectly well she isn’t contagious now, even if she eventually comes down with it. So why is she in a tent at the end of October, for heaven’s sake? I suppose they can’t give her a room IN the hospital, because then all of the Chicken Littles out there would start avoiding the place. Similarly, if they put her up in a motel, what, would they have to burn it down afterward? I suggest that at the very least they buy a mobile home with a bathroom and kitchen…or wait, how about the Governor’s mansion?

“Bunsenburner, you may have bigger problems to deal with than ebola.”

Oh, thanks for a good one - the guy looks like Doc from Back to the future.
Yup, my cats drive me nuts at times, no toxoplasma needed! Someone knocked over the water dish the kitchen - again!!! Arrrgh.

Agreed.

^Nothing new there.

Oh, the irony….

I hope this nurse buries the governor’s butt.

Great link, sally305.
