The police apparently just arrested a student, from Rutgers, who was the guy at the airport who slipped past security to give his GF a kiss. This happened yesterday, and it tied up air traffic at Newark for several hours. What do you think? Should this guy be arrested for breaching security, or should we let this go?

I don’t think he should be arrested. Maybe fined, but not arrested.

The guy seemed oblivious to what was going on. Was the guy an international student? I learned on the news he was an Asian graduate school.

But for some reason I feel more sympathetic towards him since he probably didn’t realize he was breaching security. They said how this was his first girlfriend or something and she visited him for a week. He was probably a bit too excited since he was saying goodbye to her.

I truly think the poor guy did not know what he had done 0_o

I think the person should be arrested and held responsible for trespassing. But the big issue here is not the man who trespassed but our whole failure of a security system. Lautenberg coming out and reprimanding the man while totally ignoring the failure of TSA is laughable. I think the TSA and government officials are trying to use him as the scapegoat to cover up their own negligence.
