<p>I heard someone was de-capitated with a serrated tree branch by their roommate in Dykstra. And everyone on the third floor of Sproul had their laptops stolen the other day.</p>

From looking at statistics and from hearing other people talk about it, the campus is very safe. In fact the tour guide said the major concern UCPD has is jaywalking… not any violent crime or theft. Still you should take care to protect your valuables.</p>
<p>only way you’re going to get stuff stolen from your dorm is if you leave the door open, so there’s pretty much a < 1% chance if you don’t have stupid roommates who leave the door open and leave</p>
