Hey everyone,
I’m a high school senior who’s really passionate about attending UM, but I’m in a tough spot financially and need some help. I came across the Hammond Scholarship, and it seems like it could be the perfect opportunity for me. I’m hoping to connect with any current or former Hammond Scholars who might be able to give me advice or guidance on how to put myself in the best position to be considered. If you’re open to it, I’d also love to see if you could nominate me.
A little about me: I have a 3.8 GPA, a 1430 SAT, and over 500 hours of community service. I’ve always made it a priority to help out the community wherever I am—whether it’s through my Boy Scout troop, church, or local service projects. I’d love to bring that same spirit to UM and be a part of its diverse and inclusive environment.
I’d be incredibly grateful for any advice or help. This scholarship could make all the difference for me, as UM is my top choice but otherwise out of reach financially. Thanks so much in advance!
