Segundo Dorms

i got my room assignment in Malcolm in Segundo. I heard it is old and smelly does anyone know if this is true>?

I’d also like to hear more about malcolm
The preview shows the room having bunk beds and I was wondering if it has to stay bunk beds. I’d prefer both beds on the ground lol.

I lived on the 5th Floor of Malcolm last year and it was great. It’s a floor of about 50 people and a Resident Adviser that supervises the floor. The beds don’t come bunked. You have the option of lofting your beds or making a bunk out of them. Malcolm was not “smelly” at all. Though it is one of the older buildings, you will barely notice it. My only complaint about the rooms in Malcolm were the chairs that they provided. But you can always bring your own!

Malcom is a great place to live! You’ll soon appreciate having a washer/dryer on each floor as well as a kitchenette (if they still have those). Not to mention that Rite Aid and a couple of eateries are just across the street… all your friends at Tercero will be jealous :)

Anyone have info on Regan, specifically Sereno? My D is in the Music/performing arts theme…

I believe Regan Hall is the oldest or one of the oldest buildings on campus. But, the music themed area is always full of life. People there always have their doors open and strum or sing. I wanted to go there mainly because I love music, particularly bands and genres that only a few people really know of, and Sereno has the highest concentration of just that.

my room dimensions are 10.5 x 20ft… is that big?

I’m in Malcom hall too so I’ll be seeing you there clayton haha.
When I visited it was definitely not as new as clean when compared to the Segundo North dorms (which were gorgeous) but I got the single room that I wanted so I’m happy :)

I’m also on 5th Floor Malcolm. I also heard that Malcolm rooms are the smallest of the dorms in Davis =\ is this true?

and REALLY!? there’s Rite Aid and eateries across the street?
