Really need some help here - bump
What major(s) are you interested in? Do you intend to go to graduate school? Where do you want to live and work after you complete your education?
Even with that scholarship, Kings college would be significantly cheaper right? Go wherever your major is the strongest. Also, If you want to go away to college choose NYU.
What grades did you need to get into Kings college (as an american)? Just wondering
Where do you want to live and work after graduation? Both institutions are solid and reputable, however the “familiarity factor” for King’s will be greater in Western Europe (particularly the UK), as will NYU’s in the US (especially the Northeast).
I got into Cornell as well, but the aid was too low… So I’m basically choosing between NYU and King’s. I’m taking electronic engineering. Also, @SternBusiness, idk the American equivalent but my scores were around 96% in my 11th standard. And yes, I do plan to take up graduate studies…
I’m also interested in Physics and entrepreneurship
I’m from India, by the way.
If you want good advice, try presenting more information about yourself and your situation.
Based only on what you’ve indicated so far, and assuming they both have comprehensive programs in electrical engineering (otherwise, why would you have applied?), then I suggest you go with the more affordable alternative.
If you choose the NYU, you can’t assume that you will have job options. The US is strict about immigration issues and you have to assume that you will return to India for your job prospects.
What’s your parents’ budget?
Can you indicate, for every choice you have, the result of this calculation:
(tuition, fees, room, board) - (scholarship, grant) = $
Indicate if you would take loans (for how much)and if you got a work study award.
