<p>No… When you accept your appointment the form titled “Record of acceptance, obligation, reimbursement, and oath of allegiance” states:</p>

FOR ALL MALE APPLICANTS: Completion of this form constitutes registration with the Selective System in accordance with Military Selective Service Act, and the USAF Academy will transmit my name, permanent address, military address, Social Security Number, and birthdate to the Selective Service System for recording as evidence of the registration

<p>I did anyway. If you do, they’ll just ask for your ID number on a different form. It really isn’t a big deal. I registered just to be safe.</p>

<p>Except the site seems to be down right now.
Basically you fill out the information. It really only take a minute. Then they send you something in the mail with your ID #, etc. I just put the letter in my dresser with the rest of my AF stuff.</p>
