Selective summer programs for sohomores?

I’m a sophomore (rising junior this summer) looking for a good summer program and I can’t seem to find any - most seem to be geared for just Juniors (RSI, SSP, etc.) Any help?

SAMS (Summer Academy of Math and Science @ CMU) is not that selective in my opinion, but it’s a pretty good free program (w/ SAT prep courses, engineering, and math classes). When I say “not that selective,” I mean that they gear towards URM w/few opportunities, making “good students great.”

You can read more about it here: [SAMS: The Summer Academy for Mathematics + Science](http://www.cmu.edu/enrollment/summerprogramsfordiversity/sams.html)

If you’re interested in the humanities and social sciences (especially African American studies), the Telluride Association Sophomore Seminar is well-regarded - and completely free if you get in: [Telluride Association: Our Programs: For High School Students: Sophomore Seminar (TASS): General Information](http://tellurideassociation.org/programs/high_school_students/tass/tass_general_info.html)

I’m really more interested in the physical sciences - thanks though! Also, I’m not really worried about the selectivity, more the actual challenge of the program itself.
