for the class of 2013 wesleyan admitted 22% from 27% a year before, while about 40% were admitted ed from 50% the year before due to a multitude of reasons. is a similar drop in selectivity for the class of 2014 plausible? sould it be expected?

it’s anybody’s guess. My crystal ball says, that because the USNews utilizes lagging indicators (of sometimes up to two years) in their rankings, expect Wesleyan to take a hit in this year’s magazine, due out in a couple of weeks. Maybe, that will slow things down a bit. I hope so for your sake, :p

I talked to someone in Admissions right before they finished accepted everyone for the Class of 2013, and she told me that Wesleyan will only get more and more selective as the years go on. Just work hard, challenge yourself, get great recommendations, keep yourself busy, and write a wonderful essay! :)
