<p>It’s not a stupid question, but it is a waste of time asking people on this forum to answer it. You need to ask your dad and his CPA how his practice is organized. He might be self-employed, or there might be a corporation or partnership in there somewhere that is the employer.</p>
<p>Is he paid with a W-2 or 1099s?</p>
