I put these jobs as “self-employed” on my common app form … and now i’m trying to register for CSS PROFILE and i’m panicking because i’ve never done a tax return … does it mean im a criminal or something ?! because on my common app, i put down that im working… but since i havent done a tax return ever, i put 'did not, and not required, to file …" for one of the Qs on CSS PROFILE … so then would the colleges think that im lying or soemthing ?? pleeeease help !</p>
<p>Most (probably all) kids that cut grass or babysit on a regular basis don’t file taxes either, and I don’t think they are sweating about whether the school believes they worked. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you really played it up as a business.</p>
