When I select my starting date of attendance as January 2017 and graduation date as May 2020, it asks me to enter grades for the year 2017 to 2018, 2018 to 2019, 2019 to 2020 and middle school… Why doesn’t it ask for my freshman year (2016 to 2017) and what if I didn’t go to middle school in the US??
If you’re on some type of non-traditional, non-US schedule (Jan-Aug 2017 9th grade out of the US, then starting 10th in the US in September 2017 for example), I’d try putting December 2016 and see if it adds another year.
Are you equating 9th grade with middle school? I know my school district had 7-9 and 10-12 as different schools, with 10-12 as our High School.
I moved to the US in January 2017, and got admitted to 9th grade second semester and got credits for 1st semester that I finished out of US. So I
Was here for 9th grade (second semester), 10th grade, 11th grade, and currently senior year. I am not equating 9th grade with middle school.
DD filled out the SRAR for Pitt, and didn’t enter anything for middle school, since none of her middle school classes are listed on her HS transcript. Some schools list HS level classes (such as Alg 1 and FL) on the HS transcript, even if taken in MS, though DD’s school does not.
And, like others have said, change the start date to fall of 2016 to get the freshman year to show.
you belong to the cohort based on when you stated 9th grade anywhere in the world. if you started 9th grade in 2016, you put the month and the year you started 9th grade (it does not matter if it was not in the US).
get a copy f your transcript which has the transfer credits for when you started school outside of the US.list the grades as they are on your transcript. Your GC will send your current transcript along with your previous transcript.
