How long would it take to self-study both and get an 800 in both?

I have some background in Bio, and I’ve completed a course in AP Environmental Science, so my knowledge of ecology is especially strong.

My math - especially my pre-calc - isn’t especially strong. I got a 740 in math on the SAT for reference.

Will one summer be enough? This summer, however, is log-jammed with volunteer work, three online courses, major summer assignments, and other random stuff.

If your ecological knowledge is strong, take bio E. But you need a lot more on just some background in bio. If you haven’t taken any other advanced bio courses, it would be kind of hard to get an 800. Math probably won’t be as difficult for you… you only need to know basic pre-calc. It’s mostly algebra. Just take a lot of time to read through / practice w/ Barron’s for both subjects.

Take the CB tests at home to get an idea. For my daughter Bio E is easier than M.

For Math II, you only need Barron’s and the two official tests. Study through Barron’s, take the tests, and review your answers. (I only ended up taking three.) Then, take the two official tests (in the official Math Subject Tests book). If you get 800s on both, you’re good for the real thing. All of this should take less than a month. I did it and scored an 800.

As for Bio, I recommend picking up Barron’s and Cliff’s AP. Study through them thoroughly and take the practice tests. If you are ever uncertain about a specific concept, look it up in Campbell’s or an equivalent biology textbook and study it thoroughly. Biology is one of the hardest subject tests on which to score an 800, so it will take dedication on your part to learn all the material. After your preparation, take the official test in the All Subject Tests book, and see how you do. I did all of this and, according to CC, missed 0-1 on the June test. We’ll see how my score turns out in a few weeks.

Good luck!
