Counselor Rec: No idea what to with this one…

Teacher Rec 1: Local high school counselor… She saw me suffer! She has seen everything I have been through… How hard I tried to get enrolled in high school after coming here. How we went without bread after my step-father’s sudden medical emergency, how I had to start this awful job to support my parents (she come to my Dunkin all the time), she knows my ambitions, my hardships over the years, she saw me distressed after applying for colleges last year, she was contacted by my harvard interviewer and was sure I will get in but I couldn’t send my scores there, she saw me heartbroken after gettong rejected since the disparities were huge with American education system and decide to do APs and work on my ECs and Scores… She has been the only person ever to understand

Teacher Rec 2: Local High school counselor’s junior: same goes for her too

Other Recs: Probably someone from work

Essays: So confused on what to write but might go for my crazy imagination and how i escape my reality with it. Poor writer though

Really passionate about revolutionizing Pakistan’s education system which is in literal ruin - and damn I have suffered through it - through Internet education since I can’t really open physical schools but I can open internet ones  and also about helping people get jobs or launch businesses (pm if you want a free professional CV  )

But I will be 21 when applying for colleges, my schooling is mushy, filled with delayed graduations and gap years because of self schooling and jumping between high schools of three countries but this is what I studied in last year of my schooling, also I self-studied AP Curriculams but don’t think I can mention AP without proper school classes - I got internet service when I was 13 and was never allowed to leave my house alone for both cultural and security bindings so that is all ECs I could do,)

Wow! You have a great backstory. I would advise talking to the local high school counselor (teacher rec #1). She can give you better recommendations on which colleges to apply to than anyone on here can.

Personally, I think you can apply to any college. Your extracurriculars are AWESOME! But I think you should talk to the two counselors that you know. They’ll be able to offer you much more meaningful advice and give you more help as far as advising you which colleges to apply to.

Hi! You sound amazing! I agree that you could probably get into any school you want (though don’t take my word for it). I mean, you sound really motivated if you are teaching yourself. Also, it shows that you are a fast learner on some subjects, and/or you persevere and try new ways of learning when one does not work. Let me know where you wind up going!

By now, you must have gotten all of your applications in. and maybe you already have a full-ride scholarship somewhere.

If not: Keep in mind, with all of this, that colleges gain prestige and energy from students like you as much as you might gain education, prestige and contacts from them.

If one of the colleges on your list, shockingly, you, or just doesn’t give you enough aid to make going there practical: Keep in mind that you are still you and are great, and will use the education you get from some other college to move mountains. If any college does reject you (or skimp on aid), that’s the college’s loss.

I didn’t applied last year but did this year so a QB Finalist to QB Schools, let’s see where I end up… thanks for the love
