I am looking at this school and see it to be great on a large scale…However, I get this at alot of schools…What are some small things, quirky things that make U of M so unique? What makes the school so good?

If you need to be “sold”, U of M probably isn’t the school for you. It has a long-standing history and reputation for academic and sports excellence, great school spirit, LOTS of opportunities, and the largest alumni network in the world. My son was a bit intimidated by the size, but Ann Arbor is one of the top college towns anywhere and there are many ways to find your niche and make it home.

coco222, Sportsmom42 is absolutely correct.

U-M had 42,535 applicants for 6,449 spots in the 2012 class. You need to sell yourself to U-M, not vice versa.

Touch

coco222, look over the “Is Michigan weak in anyway” saved thread at the top. That should give you what you are looking for.

We have really fat squirrels.
