Okay, here it goes…

So the other day, I was talking to my good friend in college about all of this college crap, and he asked what score I got. So, I told him, anthough it’s not the greatest score in these parts, he thought it was alright and said,

“that’ll be a great score to sell”

Since that is not the normal response most people hear when they say such things, I asked him to clarify what he said. So, he thought that the best thing to do for most colleges was to get a score above their range, and in effect “sell” yourself to them like you were some form of valuable livestock and get a very cheap to free education.

So, do y’all think this is a good thing to do? If so, rate my next idea:

Why don’t we just install a large, information-sharing website where we can ask our guidance counselors to post our stats, our recommendation essays, and generic self-written essays? We could have our basic info such as our highest test score, GPA, academic interests/major, difficulty level of our curriculum rated by the info-sharing website, financial need, ethnic status, etc. posted as the titles, and there would be an in-depth profile like our chance threads as the first post. Only college admission offices would be able to access the site and profiles, and they could simply “post” their offer. Then, students could sift through these offers and make the most logical choice.

Thoughts?
