Hello,

I’m in another tricky situation. I found out from admissions that I’ve been accepted into a conservatory–no studio assignment yet.

In my application, I didn’t know who to put down, so I didn’t list anyone in my teacher preference form. I know I can change that but I’m not sure who I should change that to.

How do I go about it now? I only took one lesson when I auditioned and I wasn’t overly inspired… on the other hand, that teacher probably isn’t a terrible choice at all. Should I contact other teachers I might be interested in and arrange for lessons now and tell admissions to put my teacher assignment on hold? I’m worried that time is of the essence and once I get into a studio it will be hard to change.

I found this thread:

Any other advice or experiences?

Thank you.
