Are there lots of work for seminars? Are there like tests, projects, etc? How do they grade u in seminars?

Seminars are graded pass/no pass. Work for seminars depend on the professor. Sign up for a seminar that interests you, go to class, and see if you want to do the work or not.

Some may include tests, papers, and projects. But most of the seminars my friends have taken are often a paper or a project (nothing too big).

Most seminars are pass/no pass, but some are letter grade only. Go to fss.berkeley.edu . History seminars tend to be full classes more often than not (as in, 4 units and lg). Other than that, eiffelguy is right.
