<p>Do transfers with less than 24 credits absolutely have to take seminar? Can you take sbu 101 after your second semester? And is there any other seminar besides sbu 101–some schools had different ones for every major?</p>

<p>I answered this in the other post, but I’ll answer it here too. No, it’s not mandatory for transfers. Once you’re past your first semester, I don’t know how much SBU 101 helps a transfer who’s already been on campus for a semester; it’s really an extension of the orientation program.</p>

<p>Chris, the information I gathered form emails is that with less than 24 credits, transfers are required to take 101, my question is–could I take in my second semester there, which is not that relevant anyway.</p>

<p>I’m checking on it. I’m 99% sure that it’s only recommended, not required, for transfer students, regardless of the number of credits. I’ll post when I find out.</p>
