I was deferred EA. On my original application, I didn’t list any of my awards.
I think it may help me in the RD round, so I’m planning on adding them.

Should I do this in my midyear report or in a separate e-mail to my admissions counselor?

The midyear report has a section for “new activities” and whatnot, but my awards are old, and just weren’t included in my original app. Also, I’m planning on reiterating my interest in UChicago and writing about an activity in that section.
Would it be too much to include old awards in that section as well? (Or too irrelevant?)

Thanks!

I was also deferred EA, but I believe it was because my English teacher rec didn’t fit the requirements (and was sent in late no less). So I had my english teacher this year write me a new letter of recommendation, and in that letter I wrote an update for my file. I also plan to include more in the midyear report, which is where they are asking for new information to be included. I think the email option is more for small updates, not a whole list of activities you failed to include on your application

If I were you I would put them in the midyear report. If they are in the midyear, they are guaranteed to be seen and added to your file, whereas the e-mail may be lost in the confusion or added late.
