Send additional information to colleges AFTER the application has been sent

I want some Ivy-league schools to acknowledge an award which I removed from my Common Application. How do I do this? Do I send the information directly to the admissions office emails?

Long Story (Optional):
I recently applied to some Ivies for engineering, and one of my greatest assets is my accomplishment and dedication in music and jazz. Over the summer, I attended a summer semester program at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and won a four-year full-tution scholarship to the school.

I’m very proud of this accomplishment since it demonstrates hard work and creativity in an extracurricular. The only problem is, I was told by an admissions expert that putting such a scholarship in my application was admissions suicide, that the Ivies are so sensitive that they would deny me immediately as I would have options elsewhere and not appear to care about its school as much. When I turned in my Ivy apps, I did not turn in this award, but after talking to more friends in similar positions, I feel like I’ve made an error in not including it.

If anybody has additional information on what colleges would think about an award which relates to receiving scholarships from other colleges, considering I want to make it clear that I don’t want to major in music nor attend Berklee, please let me know.

I really have no idea…but you are comparing advice from an “admissions expert”, to “friends”.
I would try asking your guidance counselor or perhaps talking to the admissions counselor at the University.
Also maybe ask here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/music-major/

Do you have any other awards for your jazz? If so, that might make it clear how good you are.
Also did you send in a music supplement?
