James Madison University says that SATs must be sent directly (from collegeboard) and electronically to them… On the SAT website is there anyway to change it so that they don’t mail it? I need this out electronically ASAP and I dont know what to do!!!

Try to cancel and re-do it.

If you can’t do that, you can call CB tomorrow and see if they can change it.

You can also call admissions and ask if it’s okay to have it mailed.

I havnt actually ordered them to be sent yet because I cant figure out how to send them electronically and that’s all that JMU says they’ll accept

When you order it, I think it says normal delivery and if you click on that, it will be sent electronically. I think you have to specify if you want it sent another way.

In other words, it should send electronically unless you specify not to.

If James Madison says electronically that means, like almost all if not all colleges, it has set up an on-line account with CB into which CB deposits the scores for JMU applicants and then “delivery” occurs when JMU does the download. Since that is the arrangement with CB, that is the way your scores will be sent when you order regular delivery on-line. You don’t have to make any kind of special order to make that happen.

Question: So apparently JMU says the scores need to be in before NOV 1 (Early action)… If I send them today it claims that for electronically, college board will send them in 1-2 weeks unless I rush send them ( $30) in which theyll be sent in 1-2 day. Am I screwed? Should I just apply normal action??

They do not always send them in two weeks. I still have scores pending that I sent on 10/13

I ordered mine in the middle of September for the October SAT and they are still pending. Personally, I am not gonna worry about schools getting my scores for Nov 1 deadlines. I am applying to UMD and MIT early, and MIT’s website says that score reports take 4-6 weeks to get there, so they kind of assume its gonna take a while. Also, letters of recommendation come in until like Nov 8th or something probably, so I am sure they would make sure that SAT scores send and letters of rec. are in before looking over all the apps.

bubba067 our OCt. 13 scores all all still pending as well. Frustrating, as ACT sent those scores in 3 days.
