Send scores summer before

Hi all,
Is it bad to send sat score reports to colleges right now when applying for fall 2013? My guidance department specifically stated not to and I just realized I forgot to cancel my score sendings. Is this a major turn off? Or not a big deal?
Help!

I’ve heard something like you may have to resend your scores depending on the college, but you can always ask if your schools archive scores or not. I think your counselor suggested not to send scores more as a safety than a necessity, though. Assuming you did SAT Subject Tests, it may hurt you depending on the school, but if you score your best then it really doesn’t matter. Assuming you did the SAT Reasoning Test, you eliminated your ability to superscore for that submission. However, most colleges won’t hold a bad date against you; even so, the best you can do now is send in your superscored test if need be. If you’re still troubled, just shoot an email to the schools to which you reported.
