Past students, what did you do
-send in your application when you felt it was complete
or
-just wait and see if you could make changes to essays?
i feel like if i submit it now I’m going to want to change something after, so what do you think? my deadlines november 1st
You want to submit your very best work. Let it incubate. Don’t send yet. You may have a thought that comes to you in the middle of the night.
My daughter sent in her common app/essay/supplement to X college way before the Jan 1st deadline - NOW she regrets it because, after having gone on write other applications/essays/supplements she now feel she could have done a MUCH better job as she’s getting the feel for how to answer more from her heart and less from her head. I agree, her last few have been sterling, whereas her 1st few were a bit boring and cerebral.
QUESTION- does anybody think she can send in to that college with the completed app already sent in - can she NOW send in a wonderful essay she wrote… asking that it be included in the consideration of her application ???
That probably really depends on the college. You’re not going to get the answer here, have her contact the colleges to ask.
