Sending 2008 AND 2009 tax returns?

[This is the cover sheet for mailing/faxing tax returns. It says we must mail/fax:

However on this page](<a href=“Submit My Documents”>Submit My Documents), it says:

This information is conflicting. Do I need to submit my family’s 2008 tax returns?

Note to Regular Decision applicants: if your and your parents’ 2009 tax returns will be available by March 1, you do not need to submit your 2008 tax returns.

I don’t see how this is conflicting at all.

Well I think there is definitely room for confusion, with their two different messages.

I just wanted to be 100% sure. Nothing wrong with double-checking.

Yeah I’ve been wondering about this too. The cover sheet seems to emphasize they want both 2008 and 2009 returns.

i think that if you can’t send the 2009 one by march 1, then you need to submit both, just my interpretation

So would it logically follow that if I submitted my 2008 forms b/c I didn’t have the 2009 ones yet, I would still need to submit the 2009 ones when I obtained them (even though it would be after march 1st)?
