Sending 3D paintings as an art supplement to Princeton???

I am thinking of sending 3D paintings to Princeton and this kind of art is not really well-known in the U.S. I don’t think the pictures can reflect the level of the artworks sufficiently. Is it OK if I send in a physical sample and write a letter to apologize for breaking the rules (Princeton says to send in copies only)? I’m a professional artist so this supplement really means a lot in my application.

I would suggest calling admissions office and hearing what they have to say.

I also googled 3d paintings – have you considered taking multiple photos of the same artwork to show what it looks like from different angles?
