Sending in Supplemental Materials

I just have a quick question. I was accepted in early December (to LSA), and I’m pretty sure that, with the application I had presented then, there is no shot that I would get a merit scholarship of any sorts (remember, only 1500 out 9000 admits are considered for scholarships). However, since then I have sent in supplementary materials and I was wondering what exactly happens with the materials. The materials go into my profile but does anyone actually look at them (unless, by some miracle, I was deemed worthy of consideration for merit scholarships initially)? I’m basically reliant upon scholarship money to be able to afford going to the University of Michigan so any insights on what happens with my materials (if anyone on here knows at all) could help me on determining which course of action I should take. Thanks in advance!
